Terms of service
Last updated: 23 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you, the Shopify merchant who installs Smart Reorder Assistant ("the App"), and Ian Bushell ("we", "us"). By installing or using the App you agree to them. They include our data processing terms in section 6.
1. The service
The App reads your products, stock levels and recent orders from Shopify and shows which products to reorder, your best sellers and your slow-moving stock. We may improve or change features over time.
2. Suggestions are estimates
Reorder quantities, dates and other figures are estimates based on your past sales and the settings you choose. They are not guarantees. You remain responsible for your purchasing and stock decisions.
3. Price, trial and billing
- The App costs $29 (USD) per month after a 7-day free trial.
- All charges are made through Shopify's billing system and appear on your Shopify invoice. We never see or store your payment details.
- You can cancel at any time by uninstalling the App. This stops future charges. Refunds for part-months are not given unless required by law.
- We will give at least 30 days' notice of any price change.
4. Your responsibilities
You must have the right to connect your store to the App, keep your Shopify account secure, and not use the App in a way that breaks the law or Shopify's terms.
5. Availability
We aim to keep the App running at all times but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may need to pause it briefly for maintenance.
6. Data processing terms
This section is our data processing agreement with you.
- Roles. You are the controller of your store data. We process it only on your behalf and only to provide the App.
- Data we process. Product and variant details, stock levels, and order line items (which products sold, how many and for how much) from the last 60 days. We do not request customer names, emails, phone numbers or addresses.
- Storage and retention. Sales and stock figures are calculated when you use the App and held in memory for no more than a few minutes. They are never written to a database. We store only your login session and the settings you choose (lead times, vendor names, product IDs).
- Deletion. Your login session is deleted when you uninstall. All remaining data for your store, including settings, is deleted when Shopify sends its shop deletion request, 48 hours after you uninstall.
- Security. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (encrypted disk). Access is limited to us, protected by two-step authentication.
- Sub-processors. Fly.io (hosting, servers in London, UK) and Shopify (platform and billing). We will tell you before adding others.
- Confidentiality. We do not sell, share or rent your data, and we do not use it to train AI models.
- Requests and breaches. We respond to Shopify's customer data and deletion requests, and will help you meet your obligations to your customers. If a security breach affects your data, we will tell you without undue delay and within 72 hours of becoming aware of it.
More detail is in our privacy policy.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, the App is provided "as is", and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost sales. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by uninstalling the App. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken. Sections 2, 6 and 7 continue to apply afterwards.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For important changes we will give notice through the App or by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
